Recruiting an Apprentice

Prospects College offers you a complete recruitment and assessment service all we ask in return is the commitment to maintain the apprentice’s employment throughout the duration of their course.  Once we have this commitment we will work with you to select appropriate young people to develop through an apprenticeship scheme.

How Apprenticeships work

At Prospects we can help you decide on an Apprenticeship that is best for your business. We offer two levels of Apprenticeship:

• Apprenticeships (equivalent to GCSE’s) – usually last 14 months, with the apprentices working towards a NVQ at Level 2, a Level 2 Technical Certificate and Key Skills at Level 1.
• Advanced Apprenticeships (equivalent to A Levels) - usually last between 2 to 4 years with apprentices working towards a NVQ at Level 2 and 3, a Level 3 Technical Certificate and Key Skills at Level 2.  Advanced Apprentices in Engineering spend the first 26 weeks of their programme on block release at the College.
