What - Level 3 Apprenticeship
Where - Prospects College, Basildon
Who - Able and motivated 16-24 year olds, employed in the Plumbing industry and capable of completing an apprenticeship at Level 2.
When - A minimum 2 years on a day release basis
WHAT DO I NEED?
Ideally, you should have four GCSEs at Grades A-C including English and Maths. Literacy and numeracy skills can however be assessed at interview stage for applicants without GCSEs. You must also be employed in the Plumbing industry.
WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I RECEIVE?
Level 3 Plumbing Advanced Apprenticeship
and Key Skills qualification in English, Maths and Ict.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will combine on-the-job training with your plumbing employer with day realese at college to futher develop your knowledge of the theory aspects to the apprenticeship programme.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Each qualification within the apprenticeship framework is assessed through ongoing demonstration of your practical skills and theory assessments. Some units of the qualification require an online external assessment. Functional Skills courses are assessed by a final written examination.
FURTHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES?
After successful completion of the course you can progress onto higher Education
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
For 16-18 year old students, apprenticeships are fully funded. For 19+ students an employer contribution is required.
