What: Level 2 Plumbing Apprenticeship
Where: Prospects College, Southend or Basildon.
Who: Able and motivated 16-24 year olds, employed
in the construction industry and capable of completing an apprenticeship at Level 2.
When: 21 months (on day release basis).
WHAT DO I NEED?
Ideally, you should have three GCSEs at Grade C or above including English and Maths. Literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed at interview stage for applicants without GCSEs. You must also be employed in the industry of your chosen subject.
WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I RECIEVE?
Level 2 Plumbing Apprenticeship comprising of:
Level 2 Certificate in Basic Plumbing Skills, NVQ Level 2 and Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will combine practical learning in our workshops with theory sessions in your chosen vocational area.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSMENT?
Each qualification within the apprenticeship framework is assessed through ongoing demonstration of your practical skills and theory assessments. Some units of the qualification require an online external assessment. Functional Skills are assessed by a final written examination.
FURTHER TRAINING OPPERTUNINTIES?
After successful completion of the course you can progress to a higher level apprenticeship at Level 3 known as an Advanced Apprenticeship.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
For 16-18 year old students, apprenticeships are fully funded. For 19+ students, an employer contribution is required.
