LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN WORK BASED CONSERVATION

Where - Prospects College, Basildon

 

Who - Able and motivated 16-18 year olds, who have an interested in making the best out of your environment.

 

When – 4 days with a possible 1 day work experience each week for 18 weeks

 

ENTRY  REQUIRMENT?

Ideally, you should have 5 GCSEs at Grade A – E including English or Maths. Literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed at interview stage and the appropriate Functional Skills programme selected.

 

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL I RECEIVE?

Level 2 ABC Award in Work Based Conservation (fence & paths) and  Functional skills in English and Maths.

 

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

You will develop a variety of theory and practical skills in maintaining and rtepairing fence, post and rail boundaries, aggregate paths, as well as monitoring and maintaining health & safety.

 

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

The qualification is assessed through internal assignments. Function Skills will be assessed by a final written examination.

 

FURTHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES?

After successful competition of the course you can progress onto a Level 2 Apprenticeship.

 

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

For 16-18 year olds, this programme is fully funded.
