Able and Motivated 16-18 year olds, who wish to pursue a career in engineering as a technician

3 days a week for 38 weeks
WHAT DO I NEED?
Ideally you should have 4 GCSE grades at A* - C including English, Maths and Science. Literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed at the interview stage for applicants without these GCSEs.
WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I RECEIVE?
City & Guilds Level 2 in Aircraft Maintenance
Functional Skills: English
Functional Skills: Maths
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Your initial training will focus on developing an understanding of aircraft maintenance processes including: Aviation Maths & Science, Gas Turbine Engines and Aviation Legislation.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Assessment will be through on the line assessments and centre written assessments.
FURTHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES?
After successful completion of the course the learners can progress to an apprenticeship scheme with employment or alternative engineering courses.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
For 16 – 18 year olds, this programme is fully funded.
