LEVEL 1 VOCATIONAL LEARNING CONSTRUCTION
INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE
This
Level 1 course has been designed to allow students the opportunity to develop
and practise some basic construction skills in wood, brick, painting and
tiling.
WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I RECIEVE:
City and
Guilds Certificate/Diploma in
Basic
Construction Skills (C&G 6218).
WHICH CAMPUS:
Southend,
Basildon and Brentwood.
ATTENDANCE:
You can
study this course in a variety of formats:
One day
a week in Year 10 and one day a week in Year 11
Two days
a week in Year 10
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Students
should have an interest in the construction industry and commitment and willingness
to learn.
COURSE ASSESSMENT:
This
qualification is assessed by the tutors throughout the course. Assessments are designed
to meet the criteria stated by the awarding body.
COURSE PROGRESSION:
Year 10
students can progress onto the BTEC First Diploma in Construction and Year 11
students can progress onto a Post 16 provision – Further Education Level 1, Level
2 or an Apprenticeship.
