FORK LIFT TRUCK DRIVING
(REFRESHER/RE-CERTIFICATION)
INTRODUCTION:
This practical course is designed for existing forklift truck (FLT) operators who have previously attended a basic training course and have passed the RTITB (or JCITB) test. FLT operators are recommended to attend this course at three year intervals. The course is approved by the Road Transport Industry Training Board Ltd and fully complies with the Approved Code of Practice and Guidance for the Rider-Operated Lift Trucks Operator Training 1999 2nd Edition (L117), PUWER 1998 and LOLER 1998
COURSE SUMMARY:
To remind delegates of the need for, and methods of, correct and safe operation of Fork Lift Trucks, reach, counterbalance or pedestrian, and to re-take the RTITB Assessment and skill test.

· The Health and Safety at Work Act and its implications
· FLT operators’ safety code
· Manoeuvring in open and confined spaces
· Stacking and de-stacking procedures
· Practical and theory test
