ELECTRICAL APPRECIATION
COURSE SUMMARY:
This course is to give a basic overview of the health and safety aspects of working with electricity.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
• Show awareness of IEE Regulations (17th Edition)
• Isolate, make secure and verify isolation of a circuit being aware that permit to work procedures may apply
• Show an understanding of the principal of a permit to work, including electrical isolation certification
• Cover basic electrical theory
• Show an understanding of circuit protection
• Show awareness of cable sizing
• Carry out basic installation on circuits not exceeding 240 volts
• Show awareness of the need for periodic inspection
