Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations BS7671:2001 Level 3
AIMS:
This Level 3 scheme has been developed in association with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC). It satisfies the NICEIC's particular requirement that prospective qualifying managers and operatives fully understand and comply with the requirements of BS7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
· Select the correct instruments and appropriate scales to carry out tests
· Check and prove instruments and leads for safety and function
· Given the information required, carry out an inspection and testing of an installation to the requirements of the current edition of BS7671
· Complete an initial verification report, as given in Guidance Note 3, for the installation in item 3, including the schedule of test results
· Carry out an inspection of installation components and record the deviations and complete a schedule of inspection
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Delegates must be practising, qualified electricians and possess a C&G 2380 or 2381 (16th Edition Regulations) / 2382 (17th Edition Regulations).
Please ensure that you bring a copy of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations for use on the course.
Please note:
We will require delegate’s full name and date of birth at least 8 weeks before the course date in order to register them with the Governing Body.
ASSESSMENT:
Written Examination and Practical Examination, to be arranged with tutor. Additional C&G Examination Fees will be applicable for all resits
DURATION:
- Days Duration in total arranged as follows :-
- 3 Days - Theory Sessions
- ½ Day - Overview of Practical Exam
- One Practical Session of 3 ½ hours per delegate to as arranged with the Tutor. Written Exam Evening Exam Session 6pm to 9pm.
ACCREDITATION:
Successful candidates will receive the City & Guilds Certificate 2391 (BS7671:2001
