COURSE SUMMARY:

This programme will provide participants with the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to safely mount, dress, set and use abrasive wheels in compliance with current legislation.

COURSE CONTENT:

·         Safety and Legislative requirements

·         Hazards and precautionary measures

·         Identification of wheels by type, speed, grade and composition

·         Storage, handling and transporting of abrasive wheel

·         Test wheels for damage

·         Truing and dressing

·         Mounting wheels

·         Adjusting wheel rests

·         Setting up and maintaining the ‘competent person register’
