About Prospects

Prospects College is a leading provider of vocational training in South Essex and Thames Gateway.  With over 35 years experience of working in partnership with businesses we have delivered a range of innovative training courses to meet the skill requirements for the community.

Whether you are a young person or an adult looking to achieve nationally recognised qualifications, or a company seeking training solutions to meet your business needs, the College has a course which will suit you.

Courses covering Engineering and Construction are provided at our modern and well equipped skills training centres located in Southend and Basildon.  The College also provides bespoke training specific to an employers requirements at both sites or at our customer’s premises.

Apprenticeships and skills training covering Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication and Welding, Maintenance and Electronic Systems Engineering are provided at our Centre of Vocational Excellence for Modern Manufacturing in Basildon. 

At Southend we deliver apprenticeships in Painting & Decorating, Carpentry & Joinery, Bricklaying, Electrical Installation and Plumbing, as well as specialised Construction Craft training.

Prospects College works closely with the Learning and Skills Council, Adult Learning Inspectorate, local schools and colleges and holds Investor in People accreditation. Our results, regularly reviewed by education governing bodies, are amongst the highest in the Country.
